Over time the term Emo has extended itself to embrace a wide panorama of musical styles that are not strictly Emo, such as Hardcore, Metalcore and the derivatives of Indie Rock; these ramifications have brought more variety to the style of dressing, although the fundamentals remain the same (T-shirts, jeans, sneakers, the colour black in make-up and hairstyles).
